CUSTOMS REVENUE.

.\ RECORD MONTH. WELLINGTON, June 2. The Customs revenue collected throughout the dominion for May was £437,888, and tho excise beer duty was £23,512. Thd figures for May, 1918, were £304,432 and £2O 651 respectively. In commenting on tho figures, Mr Myers said the Customs revenue for the month was remarkable owing to tho fact that it was the greatest ever collected in any month. The largest previous amount was £422,686, collected in June, 1915. The Minister said the increased shipping, the fulfilment of overdue ordors ; full cai-goes, and higher vaiues of goods were no doubt responsible for this record revenue collection.
