FARMERS' TRADING COMPANY.

ANNUAL MEETING. AUCKLAND, - May 27. At the annual meeting of the Auckland Farmers' Union Trading Company, Mr Boddie (the ohairman) replied to criticism, par ticularly with reference to the development of the company's financial position since the purchase of the business of Laidlaw, Leeds. He said he thought they could honestly congratulate shareholders on the present financial position of the company, which enabled them, after having lifted a deficit of £11,750, to declare dividends of 8 per cent, on ordinary shares and 6 per cent, on preference shares.

Messrs Boddie, Ross, and M'Gill, the retiring directors, were re-elected. The report was adopted, an amendment that a committee investigate the balance sheet being rejected almost unanimously.
