The Government has secured seven or eight more estates in Canterbury for soldier settlements, most of them in South Canterbury, and the Commissioner of Crown Lands for Canterbury (Mr H. D. M. Hasza.rd) proposes making an inspection of the South Canterbury properties, with a. view to formulating schemes for their sub-« division.
