LABOUR CANDIDATES IN CANTERBURY. CHRISTCHURCH, May 12. The Canterbury Trades and Labouf Council has decided to hand on to the, Representation Committee 'the following nominations of candidates for Christchurch. seats at the general election: — Avon.—Mr D. G. Sullivan. Christchurch North.—Mr F. R. Cooke. Christchurch East.—Mr H. T. Armstrong, Lytteiton—Mr J. M'Combs, M.P. The unions' ballot for the final selection of candidates for these seats will take place shortly.
