EASTER TOURNAMENT. The Dunedin "Bowling Cfentre’s Easter tournament was concluded on the Dunedin. Green on the 22nd. The heavy gale which blew throughout Monday night had the effect of drying the green wonderfully, and although sharp showers were experienced during the day tho surface was in much better playing condition than was anticipated. OAMARU TOURNAMENT. (From Our Owi* Correspondent.) OAMARU, April 22. ■ The weather conditions for the bowling tournament to-day were a vast improvement upon those of yesterday, being bright and sunny, and only a disconcerting wind robbing them of perfection. The final in the champion rinks produced a sensational finish. At the twelfth head Hain was 17 to Abel's 1, but the latter then improved his position, and with the help of a 6 and. a 4 made the scores 21 all, with a head to go. -Hain, who was lying 2, blocked the passage, and won. In the final of the Easter bowling tournament Gagliardi (Edgeware Club) beat Amtman (St. Clair, Dunedin). by 28 points to 18. GOLF. PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS. WELLINGTON, April 22. The final of the Wellington Provincial Golf Championship was played on the Heretaunga Links to-day, when A. D. S. Duncan, of the Wellington Club, defeated G. Richmond, of the Miramar Club, by 12 up and 11 to play. AUCKLAND, April 22. The Auckland Provincial Golf Championship was won by Rex George to-day after a fine game with M'Cormack—2 up and 1 to play. CHRISTCHURCH, April 25. The Ladies' Golf Championship of Canterbury wasi. won by Miss Rita Wilson with a score of 172. The weather was unfavourable for the Invercargill Club's tournament, which was held during the Easter holidays. The championship was won by C. B. Wight (St. Clair), who beat G. F. Bamett (Otago), 6 up and 4 to play. A bogey match on Saturday last v/as won by R. G. Matheson (St. Clair), and a stroke competition on the same day by C. R- Wright (Otago); a four-ball bogey match on Monday by Major Green ough (St. Clair) and 0. R. Wright (Otago), and a bogey matoh by E. Russell (Invercargill).
