LAND AND WATER.
On Sunday, 20th inst., a party of motorists were surprised to see a stag making its way across the flat near the New River at Wallaoetown. The party had rifles "with them and set off in pursuit of the stag, which made off along the bank. When the erstwhile hunters returned they stated that they had shot the stag, and had hung it up srith a view to returning for it later.
