Exciting scenes occurred at Worcester, in England, when Earl Beauohamp (formerly Governor of New South Wales) was offering portions of his estato by auction. The farmers protested against the conditions of sale, and claimed that they should be allowed six months' notice to cjuit. They sang the hunting song, "John Peel," and created suoh' an uproar that the sale could not proceed until Earl Beauchamp had telephoned conceding their demands. Complaints are still made of the scarcity of insulated space, and the Canterbury Farmers' Union on the 23rd decided to urge the Government to allocate the Corinthio for Canterbury loading.
