Sbm has a small portion of general cargo for discharge at Port, after which eh© will proceed to Melbourne and Sydney to complete discharge. The Union Company has received] advio* that the steamer Wahine ; which for sometime before the war was in the WellingtonLyttelton ferry service, will return to _ the company's control after spending a considerable time in the Admiralty's service. Th« vessel was requisitioned by the naval author!ties in 1914, and has since been occupied' in the transportation of troops. It is expected that the steamer will arrive in Ne* Zealand in time to resume her ferry eervioa running at the beginning of next summer. The Paloona left Papeete on the 15th, and is expected to reach Wellington on the 25th: inst., with mails from Europe and America. The Union Company advises that the Moana, en route from Wellington to_ San Francisco, arrived at Papeete on April 15, and left the same day on her way for th« Califorman port. The x.ew Zealand and African Company 1 has received advice that the Federal Shiri liners Devon- and Westmoreland are bothi due to load in New Zealand at the end of May. The Devon is expected to arrive on May 17 from Egypt, and the_ Westmoreland is discharging Liverpool cargo in -o.uatra.lia. __e Shaw-Savill steamer lonic, en rout* from England to New Zealand, is to reach. Auckland on Wednesday. According to a wireless message received from tfaa vessel the health of those on board is good. The Union Company's steamer Pa-loona, which left San Francisco on April 1 for Wellington, via way ports, resumed her journey from Raratonga on Thursday. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Paparca, which left Glasgow for new Zealand on April 1, is to call at Newport News and Panama, She has 594 passengers on boaTd for New Zealand!. The vessel wilt call at Wellington first, and then proceed to Auckland, where she will discharge ai small quantity of her cargo. The Federal Shire Irine Company is the inward agent for the vessel.
