WRECKED AT NIUE.

AUCKLAND, April 10. The agent-3 for the schooner Awanui have been advised by cable from Pago Pago that the vessel was wrecked at Niuo Island on January 11. All the Europeans were saved, and arrived at Apia yesterday. It is not stated if any natives' lives were lost. No reference is made to the Awanui's cargo. WELLINGTON, April 10. Sir James Allen has received information stating that the crew of the Awanui are safe. The cargo from New Zealand has been landed, and 30 ton 3 of copra have been salved.
