TRENTHAM DOMINION ART UNION.

EXTENSION OF TIME

The recent epidemic interfered very seriously with the work of the Trentham dominion art union, which was started for the purpose of raising funds to -.educate the children of soldiers and sailors' who have served and suffered in this war. It has therefore been. necessary to extend the time for the closing of this art union, and tho Minister of Internal Affairs has granted an extension to a date which will be announced 4ater. The committee has now got properly to work again, and tickets are on sale in most shops. Ihe splendid object for which this art union has been promoted will appeal strongly to the public. The debt that tho Eeople owe to the children of soldiers who ave been injured or killed in this war is a very great one, and most people will welcome an opportunity of furthering a cause which aims at the education of these children. Tho list of prizes which are offered begins with the first prize, valued at £IOOO, and the complete value of all the gifts amounts to £6300. Every I 3 ticket has an equal change of winning any or all of the prizes, and as sporting investment the art union tickets are claimed to be "better than Tatt's." A large announcement, with full list of prizes, appears in this issue.
