DUNEDIN CITY MISSION.
The monthly meeting of committee, held on the 4th, was attended bv the Hon. G. M Thomson (president), Messrs John A. D. Adams, William J. Love, H. Benfrce, E. Rosevear, John Barnes, and D. Wright. Ifc was resolved to offer sympathy to Mr Peter Barr, a member of the executive, in his illness. The Missionary (Mr D. Wright.) read a long list of very aged men (most of them between 80 and 90 years oi age) whom he had visited lately. Thanks were recorded to tho president for sending out a special circular re finance, and to all those who readily responded. The report in the matter of State school classes for Bible instruction was most interesting and encouraging, and notice was taken of the invaluable co-operation of head masters and teachers in all the classes. On many occasions lately nearly 1000 girls and boys were actually present for the week. Everywhere the relations existing between the pupils and their teachers aro most cordial and hearty. As usual, the missionary has assisted in Sunday services in different denominations both in town and country.
