The. Cabinet has decided that tho Government steamer Tatanekai, for so long attached to the Post and Telegraph Department as a cable-repairing vessel, shall be now "attached" to the Marine Department. It is understood' that the time is not,far distant when she will supersede the Hinomoa (built in 1876) as the lighthouse tender.
