YACHT AND MOTOR BOAT CLUB.

The twenty-sixth annual meeting of the Otago Yacht and Motor Boat Club was held on the 20th, when Mr A. C. Hanlon (commodore of the club) presided.

The annual report submitted by the chairman stated that the club tendered a pleasant send-off to 13 of the Otago and Southland men who were selected for the Motor Boat Patrol in Britain. The year commenced with a credit balance of £llß 8s 9d, while the balance sheet nowshowed a credit baalnce of £132 9s 10d, but a considerable portion of this will be eaten up -with the expense of shifting to the new site.

The report was adopted, with little discussion.

The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: —Commodore, Mr A. C. Hanlon; vice-commodore, Mr H. E. Moller; rear-commodore, Mr W. R. Waters; secretary, Mr E. S. Wilson; hon. treasurer, Mr E. C. Hazlett; committee—Messrs H. F. Nees, R, Cameron, C. G. Smith, J. Briggs, R. Gregory, D. Paterson, O. S. Miller, C. W.'Sundstrum, and A. Morgan; hon. measurer, Mr J. R. Cameron; delegates to Otago Motor Boat Association, Messrs Hanlon, Sundstrum, and Hazlett; auditors, Messrs Canter and Oliphant. The meeting unanimously decided to forward letters of condolence to the parents of Sergeant Albert E. Foorde (killed in action), who -was popularly known to the members of the olub. It was also decided to forward by communication the club's congratulatory sentiments to Sergeantmajor M'Keegan, who has just returned from the front, and who gained the Military Medal. The members present extended a cordial welcome to Mr J. A. M'Donald, commodore of the Herctaunga Yacht Club (Wellington), who is about to take an interest in the sport in Otago. The commodore then proceeded to present prizes won. during the past season, which were won by the following craft: Crusiers' race to Broad Bay (handicap for sailing yachts): Janet 1, Myro 2. General Handicap for Motors Palmer 1, Norana 2 Club Races (General Handicap for Yachts) •. Matua 1, Myro 2. General Handicap for Motors: Ralacco 1, Norana 2, Akarana 3.
