ALLEGED LIBEL.
NAPIER, August 31. The Chief Justice to-day nonsuited Mr G. S. Cla-pham, who olaimed £ISOO from, the Tribune newspaper for alleged libel in regard to five anonymous letters which had been published. His Honor held the letters to be fair comment. Costs were awarded the newspaper on the usual scale. Stay of execution for 14 days was granted in view of notice for leave to appeal.
