Marc Antony failed to draw weight, and lost second money In the Timaru Cup, in which he well. Peerless weighed in lib short atfer his race, but allowance under the rules saved the situation. Winter Cherry got away in her race, but was shut out in the first couple of strides, and ran a good race to finish close up. During tho day £11,968 10s went through tho totalisator, making £21,653 10s for the meeting, as against £25,589 registered at last season's autumn meeting.
