MEETINGS ABANDONED.
OA.MAEU, April 19. Owing to the Bailway Department's decision not to carry racehorses the committee of the North Otago Jockey Club has decided to abandon its meeting proposed to bo held next week. PALMEESTON N., April 20. The committee of the Manawatu Eacing Club, understanding that tho holding of its autumn meeting would greatly embarrass the Bailway Department, has decided indefinitely to postpone racing. The committee of the Manawatu Trotting Club has unanimously decided to abandon the trotting meeting which was to have been held next Friday.
