DUNEDIN CITY MISSION.
Tho monthly meeting of the executive was held on the 7th. Mr Peter Barr occupied tho chair. The Hon. Treasurer reported a credit balance and tho following donations, etc. : For poor cases, £3 8s; "Interest," 12s 6d; "Friends." £5; "Business Firm," £2 2s; "Mr G.," £1; from schools, 2s 2d; "An Old Friend," £2 10s; "Another Friend and Sympathiser," £5. Mr Wright reported that he had reached tho twenty-first year of classes for Bible lessons in tho <Stato schools, and that all the classes would be closed for the year this week. The classes at Arthur Street and Albany Street have gone on without interruption for 21 years. The averages this year have •boon:—Monday 112, Tuesday 218, Wednesday 187, Thursday 207, Arthur Street 223, the total average for each week being close upon 1000. The co-operation of head masters in every case has been warm and cordial, and many teachers have been quite sympathetic. The parents are invited to visit the respective schools next week, as well as members of school committees and Dunedin City Mission. Since. l*t meeting Mr Wright had been able to assist in Sunday services at Moa Flat, Dunrobin, Crookston, Glenaven, lloslyn, North-East Valley, Woodhaugh, Caversham, and City Road Hall. The usual visitation of old people was made, and one funeral was attended.
