OWAKA.
November 11. —The weather Ims boon fine and sunny for some time now, and everything is getting rather dry. We are hard to please —sometimes grumbling about so much rain, and now not pleased with too much heat; but wo could do with a nice little shower to freshen up the grass and to fill empty tanks. Cows arc coming to full milk now, and a large amount of homeseparating is being done. Motor Cars. —A large number of mgtor cars have been brought into the district lately. Until recently it was rather unusual to see motor cars here, but now they are flying about in all directions. This speaks well for ihe prosperity of the district. Training Camp.—The men are going info camp on Saturday, 18th inst., and there is to be a largo parade at the Presbyterian Church on the following Sunday. More men are being called up for active service, and the Reel Cross Society is quietly working away.
