N.S. WALES PARLIAMENT
SYDNEY/July 18. The State Parliament was opened to-day. The Governor's Speech referred to thehopeful outlook in the progress of the war. There was an assurance of a good harvest, owing to recent rains. Arrangements, in spite of financial difficulties, may be made for the continuation of railway and other developmental works. Otherwise the Speech was as forecasted.
