RUSSIAN STEAMER ASHORE

FREMANTLE, Juno 21. During her passage from Aden to Colombo the Orient liner Orsova picked up three men in an open boat flying the Russian Ensign. They 'proved to be the chief officer and two of the crew of the Russian steamer Baron Driesen, which went ashore near Cape Guardafui (Gnlf of Aden). The boat was seeking assistance for the steamer, and had sighted several ships prior to meeting the Orsova, but they all made off at top speed, evidently thinking it some- German trick.

The Orsova visited the stranded ship, but found her in no immediate danger, and her crew were safe.
