PALMERSTON NOTES. (Feoii Ouh Own Cohbespondent.) PALMERSTON, September 29. On Monday the streets of Palmerston were filled with crowds of farmers who had come into the town for the double purpose of attending- the monthly sale of stock and the horse parade. Six heavy and two light horses wore exhibited, and taken as a whole were a good looking lot. The prices realised at the stock sale were as follows: —Failing mouthed. ewes and lambs (all counted), 8s 6d; fat wethers, to 235; forward stores, to 20s 2d. Cattle: Fat bullocks, to £l2 7s 6d; good stores, to £7 15s; yearlings, from £2 to £3.
