BRITAIN AND CHINA
LONDON, July 10. During the debate in the House of Commons on the Foreign Office Estimates, Sir Edward Grey, Secretary for Foreign Affairs, stated that despite the treaty with Great Britain making China’s position with relation to Tibet secure, China had attempted to conquer Tibet and make it a province of China. If she resorted to the same policy in future, disturbing the Indian frontier. Great Britain would take up the matter very seriously as regards China.
