In view of the fact that tho Christmas season is now approaching, wo have boon asked by the St. Mary’s Orphanage Ladies’ Committee to publish the following appeal: Have you seen the new homo (Havv'thorno road, Mornington), and the many little ones depending on the generosity of the people ot tins province? if you have, we are sure you will remember us at Christinas time. Wo want groceries of all kinds —flour, sugar, oatmeal, rice, sago, currants, tea, coffee, cocoa, prunes, biscuits, jams, potatoes, eggs, vegetables; drapery - sheets, towels, forfar, print, wool, tablecloths; toys, dolls, handkerchiefs, hair ribbons, books for girls and boys of all ages; saucepans, enamelled plates and mugs, spoons, forks, buckets, blacking brushes, scrubbing brushes, brooms, garden hose, sot of irons All gifts will be gratefully acknowledged by those in charge of the Children’s Horne.
