WINDHAM SHOW.

The Wyndham A. arid P. Society’s show, held on Wednesday, proved a success. Heavy rain fell on the previous day, but by noon on the day the sun shone out. The attendance was jicrhaps not qu.te so largo as was expected, but the gate takings are believed to be satisfactory, iho farmers of the district mustered in force. The Committee of Management and the stewards carried out their duties in excellent style. There was a good display of draught hprees, and competition in many classes was keen. The light horses were a feature of the show, and Mr Jefcoate ; who was the judge, said the carriage, trotting, and roadster classes would do credit to any showring in New Zealand. A feature of the cattle was the very fine specimens of Holsteins. Mr J. Wyllic’s champion bull, bred by Mr Grigg, of Longbeach, was greatly admired. Shorthorns, Ayrsh ires, and crossbreds were weak numerically. The entries in the sheep classes showed a decrease, but some good animals were exhibited. The entries in the dairy produce classes were disappointingly small. A number of competitions wore held, which served to maintain the interest of those present. Mr K. Dickie won the amateur judging competition. The following is the prize-list: HOUSES. DRAUGHTS. Judges—Messrs W. Waddell and , J. Turnbull.'
