Tho discontent among the Post and Telegraph employees was* discussed at a very large meeting of the Gisborne Branch of tho Post and Telegraph Officers’ Association to-night. About 60 members of the Hawke’s Bay branch of the Post and Telegraph Officers’ Association met here this evening and passed the following resolutions: 1. That this branch, having fully considered the crisis between the conference delegates and the commissioners, unanimously resolves tuat the protest embodied in the alleged impeachment resolution is endorsed by this branch of the Post and Telegraph- Association, and dissatisfaction permeated the service as a result thereof. “ 2. That this branch is of opinion that, had the delegation which waited on the commissioners altered or withdrawn the resolution, which was the product of the mature consideration of conference, they would have been guilty of betraying their trust, and in view of the circumstances this branch desires to express its high appreciation of the stand taken by the president and delegation in refusing to withdraw tho contentious preamble. “ 5. That this branch assures the president and executive of its continued and unabated loyalty, and its confidence in their ability to guide the destinies of the association in this grave and critical moment.”
