MELBOURNE, October 23.
In the Federal House of Representatives to-day Mr Higgs moved in favour of imposing a tax on theatre, race, and dance tickets, the proceeds to go towards in creasing the old-age pensions from 10s to 12s 6d per week, in view of the increased cost of living.
Another motion was moved in favour of the introduction of decimal coinage. The debates were adjourned.
