WELLINGTON HOSPITAL BOARD.
UNIFORM MAINTENANCE CHARGES. WELLINGTON, October 23. The Hospital Board to-day adopted the Finance Committee's recommendation that, with a view of having a uniform change in New Zealand for maintenance at hospiatls, the fee at the Wellington Hospital be raised from 30s to 42s per week. It Win decided, also, that in cases where people were unable to pay relief would be afforded. Applicants for treatment in the Out-patient Department are also to be divided into two classes—those able to pay a minimum fee and those unable to pay any The board approved of a proposal from the Buller Board for the formation of a New Zealand Association of Hospital and Charitable Aid Boards.
