SCHOOL CHILDREN STRIKE

NEW YORK, April 23. Thousands of school children struck because a jury acquitted an unpopular teacher, against whom charges had been preferred. The police reserves were called out t<f preserve order in consequence of the children’s parades interfering with the traffic. One lad was run over by a street ca< and killed.
