For some time past frequent complaints have been made .by owners of local motor launches and pleasure boats regarding missing material (says the Southland News), and one of tho culprits, a boy of about 16 years, who has evidently been carrying our the practice systematically, was brought to justice. They had stolen from various stores goods valued at £1 IQs, and had apparently intended to build a hut on one of the reserves with a view to Betting up a Red Indian camp.
