LONDON, June 15. While Mr Asquith was receiving the guest« at the King's Birthday dinner at the India Office a suffragette attempted to tear off his epaulettes, and a few minutes later a youth seized Mr Asquith'a arm and shouted incoherently. Both were ejected. Hundreds of undergraduates and mixed crowds at Oxford subjected Miss Sylvie Pankhurst and other suffragettes to severe usage, and broke upTheir meeting. Eight thousand suffragists held a demonstration in the Albert Hall. It was resolved to participate in a hunger strike unless all who are now in prison are transferred to the first division by Wednesday. It is understood that Mr and Mrs Lawrence and Mrs Pankhurst will take part in the hunger strike. June 16. The suffragette who was turned out of the India Office at the birthday reception for placing her hands on the Prime Minister states that Mrs Asquith boxed her ears and that the Prime Minister struck her.
