It is stated (says the Hunterville Express) that should another election be held within tho next two months the Opposition candidate for Waimarino will be Mr J. Studholmc, of Ruanui. There arc in Australia 665.382 persons unable to read or write. The number of people over the age of 20 who cannot read (no.- write) is 56,126, only .012 per cent, of the residents of the Commonwealth.
