BRITISH MINING DISPUTE
POSITION IN SOUTH WALES. LONDON, April 23. Lord St. Aldwyn presided over the first meeting of the South Wales Coal Board. No agreement was reached on a single point. The men claimed the original schedule, but the owners proposed rates averaging 3s daily less. Tire men contend that the rates should be based on the average wages.
