(FkOM OCH OWN CORRHerOXLIENT.) NASEBY, April 1. The first annual meeting of the Maniototo Flour Milling Company was held in Ranfurly on Saturday afternoon, Mr A. B. Armour presiding. Routine business was transacted. Messrs A. 13. Armour and Henry Lunan, the retiring directors, were re-elected, and Mr T. H. Thompson was elected auditor, The following report was adopted by the meeting:—Your directors beg to place before you their first annual report and balance sheet, showing profit and loss account to be in debit to the extent of £258 Is sd. This is accounted for by way of flotation and other expenses incurred previous to milling operations being commenced. Owing to recent strikes in the Homeland, the suction gas plant, which was due to arrive in September, did not arrive until the last week of December, a.nd this, consequently, delayed the progress of the work in many ways, but now the mill is up to date in every particular a successful season is being looked forward to. Our " Pure White " flour is already regarded as a first-class article, and no difficulty is anticipated in disposing of all the flour and by-products as they are produced. The number of shares issued to date of balance was 1772, but during the current, month some further 400 have been applied for, leaving 828 still to issue.
