FIRE IN OSAKA

TOKIO, January 16. Five thousand two hundred and sixtyeight houses were destroyed by the fire at Osaka, and 30,000 people are homeless. The fire originated in a house of illfame. The whole quarter was consumed, and many women perished. The flames spread to the crowded workmen’s quarter.
