CFeom Ouh Owk Cobkespokdent.) LONDON. December 1. Messrs Workman, Clarke, ami Co., of Belfast have just completed the s.s. Waimana for the Shaw. Sivill and Albion jCompaey. The now vessel toflt Belfast .Harbour on Monday, and proceeded down the k>ug>b for adjustment of cr.mpasses and fi\>c-od trials. The latter and the machinery .tests proved highly satisfactory, and the .vessel afterwards lefft the lough for GJas|?)W to take in coal a.nd cargo, and later uho will call at Liverpool on her initial ■voyage to Australia and New Zealand. The Waifmam is 494 ft in length, with a cross Uxw&go of over 10,200 tons, and has been constructed under Lloyd's special survey for the highest etess in their registry, besides complying with the Board of Trade .requirements for a cargo and passenger emigrant dteamer. Tie vessel has been .specially designed for the owners" frozen meat-carrying trade betwesn New Zealand ,and this country, and four of the six cargo •holds have been insulated and otherwise fitted for the carriage of frozen nnntton. Tho decks are supported on fore and aft ."■irders. thus dispensing with the ordinary .hold pillaring, and the holds are therefore practically free of dbstrutition, and are capable of receiving consignments of Large dimensions, such as locomotive*', boilers, and general machinery. Comfortable accommodation for a number pi first class passengers has been arranged in a s'tcel midship deckhouse. The staterooms are large, well-lighted apartmentts, <and the public rooms include a dining /saloon at the forward end of the deckihooise, ,with smoke-room adjoining. Accommoda,tion for about 1000 emigrants is provided an state-rooms on (the upper 'tween decks, .the rooms being fitted up for two, four, fund six poisons, whijß dining-
