At a meeting- -of the Waterside an<i General Labourers' Unions in Westport. it was resolved to recommend the establishment of a co-operative store. In consequence of an increased tax on matches by 400 per cent., the old-fashioned method of nrouuein!? fire by flint ami tinder has, after a lapse of 20 years, been resumed in Germany. The necessary flinta are imported from the United Kingdom.
