THAMES, January 8. In connection with the Wakatere tragedy, where one lad K:hot another in the temple, the depositions of the victim, who now lies in a precarious condition in the hospital, were taken to-day. Rowlands stated to the police that the shooting was quite accidental. Walding was not in any way to blame. The latter was before the Police Court, charged with doing actual bodily harm, and wae remanded on bail.
