. OTTAWA, January 2. One thousand of the most representative people in Canada attended the Duke of Connaught’s New Year reception. Mr Borden’s decision to accept a Privy Councillorship rather than a Knighthood has given great satisfaction in Canada. There are only five Privy Councillors altogether.
