THE ROUBAIX EXHIBITION.
NEW ZEALAND'S DISPLAY. tf’EOM Otra Own CoREESrOUDEITEj LONDON. November 13. The exhibition at Rouhaix having closed* stops are being taken to dismantle the New Zealand exhibit there and dispose of the contents. There is a good deal of disappointment amongst frozen produce people that the experiment -was not carried out in full by giving the proposed dinner to representative French people, Tho idea was that a menu should bo prepared consisting as far as possible of the refrigerated products, which New Zealand has been showing in Roubaix for the past few months. Difficulties, however, seem to have cropped up, and the scheme was abandoned.
We now learn from the Depeche de Lille that the foodstuffs have been distributed among the hospitals and charitable msti< tutiona in the neighbourhood, and that th< authorities of all these bodies have ex* pressed their gratitude for the gifts and their appreciation of tho quality of tha meat. It is possible that the wool shown in tho Now Zealand pavilion may be deposited as a permanent exhibit in tha Museum at Tourooing. As this is a very ; important woollen manufacturing centre this step would be quite a wise one. The exhibit at the Crystal Palace is also t being dismantled.
