LONDON, December 18. The Times states that, subject to ratification by the shareholders, tks Royal Mail Steam Packet Company and Messrs Elder, Dempster, and Company will acquire all the Union Cas<*e line's ordinary shares. The paper adds that these companies are interested in a scheme for the biggest combination of shipping interests in the world.
