A WOMAN MURDERED
NEW YORK, December 12.
Mrs Kaufman, the wife of a wealthy commission agent, was murdered while returning from the theatre with her husband in Chicago. The chauffeur has confessed that he was aware that the party was to be held up. He says Mrs Kaufman was shot because she screamed.
