TEHERAN, October 9. The Government forces occupied Hamadan 12 hours after Salar ed Dowleh had disbanded the ex-Shah's troops and left for Europe via Bagdad. He declares that he will return in the spring with a better military equipment. October 10. The Russian Consulate officials, with 12 Cossacks, threatened to fire on the gendarmes sent at Shuster's instance to seize the Shuaes Sultaneh's property. The gendarmes then withdrew. October 11. Mr Shuster, after notifying the Russian Minister, sent 100 gendarmes, in command of an American officer, to seize Shus Es Sultaneh's property. The Cossacks retired when the Russian Consul protested, alleging that the property was mortgaged to a Russian bank.
