THE SUGAR INDUSTRY.
MELBOURNE, October 6.
The commission which is to inquire into the sugar industry has been appointed. It consists of Judge Gordon (South Australia), chairman; Mr Hinchcliffe (secretary of. the Australian Labour Federation), Mr Manderson (Sydney), representing shipping interests; Mr Shannon (cane grower), and Mr Crawford (president of the Sugar Producers' Association). The commission will inquire into all phases of the question.
