WELSH CHURCH DISESTABLISHMENT

LONDON, September 22. Lord Hugh Cecil will inaugurate a Welsh national campaign against Church Disestablishment. He says that the position is one for a readjustment of the relations of the church and State, and not for the abolition of the church. Mr Joynson Hicks, M.P., who will also take part in the campaign, says the attack on the church came from Radicalism, not from God-fearing Nonconformists. September 23. Mr Lloyd George, in a telegram to the Welsh National Council, said 1912 would see disestablishment in Wales and the restoration of the endowments for national purposes.
