TRAGEDY IN RUSSIA
ST. PETERSBURG, May 23,
A German named Kurtz married Madame Morosoff, a wealthy widow, in 1909. There were many quarrels between them, and ye&tarday he thrice shot her with his revolver. After she had been taken to the hospital Kurtz barricaded the doors of the house, saturated the furniture with petroleum, and set fire to it. He then went on to the balcony and harangued the crowd, concluding by shooting himself before the public as the house was enveloped in flames.
