During the consideration of an objection to the valuation of a Tay street property in Invercargill it was stated that a property, known as Ross's property, had recently changed hands at a price which worked out at £9O a foot. On the other side of the street the site acquired by Messrs J. Fuller and Sons had realised £32 10s a foot. According to another witness another Tay street section with good cellar facilities had brought, when sold, something like £6O a foot.
