Mr John Wilkinson, the treasurer of the China Inland acknowledges with thanks receipt of the undermentioned donations on account of tho China famine relief fund : —Amount previously aclcnow* ledged, £242 4s lOd; K. Society,, £1; per 0.D.T., £2 6s; a Friend, Is; E. 8., Middle-march, 10s; Mrs R:, £5; Miss Y., 2s 6d;—total, £262 16s Ad. .Miss Lily Reid, of the China Inland Mistion, writes from the City of Ohih-chovv, Tatung, Anhwei, China, as fellows:—"We saw by the Outlook that New Zealand is making contributions for the famine, and wo are constantly hearing that the distress is heartbreaking. It is bad enough here, where it is only scarcity. What it must be in the north of the province one can in soir.c measure realise, and we pray for the speedy arrival of the foodstuffs on their way from America." Miss Reid's lttter ia dated March 28.
