PLOT AGAINST THE MIKADO

TOKIO, January 24. Kot/uku and his wife and 10 others, who were recently condemned for engaging in a plot agadnst the Mikado, have been executed. January 25. The executions lasted from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., a single gallows being used. All the condemned persons, including the women, met death calmly. MADRID, January 26. Senor Canalejas has instructed the police at Barcelona to tear down placards calling a meeting to protest against the executions of the Tokio Anarchists. PARIS, January 26. The Gendarmes are protecting the Japanese Embassy owing to threats over the Tokio executions. Similar demonstrations are reported from other capital cities.
