ARMY SUPPLIES

LONDON, September 14.

The War Office is instituting terfders, returnable by December 7, for 375,000 12oz tins and 525,000 240 z tins of preserved meat, for delivery at Woolwich in March ; also for tenders in January for a year's supply of forage and frozen meat for South Africa, commencing in April.

WELLINGTON, September 15. The Government hae received through the High Commissioner forms of tender for the supply of preserved m&at to the English War Department.' Not enough forms were received for distribution, but they can be inspected at the office of the Department of Commerce. The quantities called for are 4114,500 12oz tins in cases of 40 and 60, and 68,750 240 z tins in cases of 20 and 30. Tenders must be in by November 9, and delivery given in January or February next.
