DAILY BIBLE-READING
BERLIN, June 9. In the course of an audience he gave to the pastor of Schirmenitz, the Kaiser said that he liked to read the Bible every night. It lies on a table by my bedside. Whenever I have to make a decision I ask myself, “ What does the Bible teach? ” I am convinced that the present period is dangerous, but no doubt will be followed by a wave of enthusiastic religious feeling.
